I don't know if ownership has changed, but it was in no way worth the price that we were charged. The tidal pools themselves seem drastically overrated as a destination. We were on a tour with 3 jeeps. There was a jeep that had broken down earlier that was on the path that we brought a mechanic to. Then on the way back, one of the jeeps in our group broke down. There was very little information passed from the driver on the area; he just drove us and then waited on the rocks while we were in the tidal pools. There were a few fish in the pools and some crabs, but there were many places on the island that we saw that and more and it was just right offshore. They did have a small cooler that you could put drinks in if you wanted. All in our group were very disappointed. The tour is not as described by prior reviewers. And from our experience was way overpriced. Buyer beware.

The drivers know how... read more to navigate the “off road” trails down to the pools. It was an exciting drive through the rainforest. You should wear sneakers you don’t mind getting wet or Teva’s or some sort of water shoe. You need to climb over some rocks to get to the pools themselves and then the beach to the pool is all small rocks. It felt very special when you got to the pools to swim given its so hard to get to. It was not too crowded. We swam for maybe an hour and then did the return drive. Our driver was very friendly and the owner of TanTan gave us some tips of places to eat and see on the island. You should plan to have a meal at the Domino Club before or after your tour. The only negative I’d say is they do have a service fee for using your credit card so either plan to pay in cash or know there will be an up charge.
